About our Department

                  The department of EEE was started in the year 2012. The department is enriched with the latest lab equipment’s and promotes R&D activities related to career in collaboration with industries. The faculty members are well experienced and dedicated towards the upliftment of the student community. They are also exposed to the practical and industrial aspects of the subject through laboratory work. The students are encouraged to participate and present papers in various technical seminars and conferences.

Power System Simulation Lab

This lab was established to update the knowledge of protective relays to the students. It is used to carry out research, development and demonstration activities related to power system engineering. It includes the electrical power system operation, control, protection, automation, plant monitoring and planning.

Electrical Machines Lab

The Electrical Machines laboratory has been established during 2012-13. This laboratory imparts the knowledge about characteristics and behavior of the DC and AC Machines. Well established with all kinds of motors, generators and latest Drives. This is the core lab for the Electrical Engineering branch and the ancillary for ECE and Mechanical branches.

Control System Lab

This Lab introduces about the fundamentals of control systems theory with emphasis on design and implementation to the students. The lab focuses on technical implementation issues of classical control theory in the frequency domain and modern control theory in the state-space. Design and implementation of control theory is done using MATLAB software with control system toolbox to undergo the experiments like open loop and closed loop system. The lab was well furnished with the equipment’s like AC and DC Servomotor, Synchronous, position control system, Controller design kit, LVDT, Strain Gauge, Thermistors, Thermocouple and RTD kit. The lab provides the facility to analyze the stability of the system. The lab is also equipped with sufficient number of CROs, Digital storage oscilloscopes etc.,

Engineering Practices Lab

The Electrical Workshop has been established during 2012-13.This laboratory is used to impart the practical knowledge to the students about the wiring, winding of transformers and machines. This workshop is established with the basic tools, machines and accessories .This workshop is the very important not only for the students of Electrical Engineering branch but also for the students of other engineering branches. Now this lab provides service to all 1st year students.

Power Electronics Lab

The Power Electronics laboratory has been established during 2012-13.It consists of different kinds of demo kits such as SCR characteristics, study kit for D.C motor control using chopper and necessary simulation softwares. The lab is equipped with all the power electronic converters, DSP and FPGA based DC and AC Drives, Digital Integrated kits, Power supplies etc.

Circuits and Devices Lab

The Devices and Circuits laboratory was established during the year 2012-13. It consists of different basic electronic devices like BJT, JFET, MOSFET, SCR, UJT etc., for conducting experiments relevant to electrical and electronic devices and circuits. This lab is adequately equipped with major devices for signal generation like function generators, signal generators and measuring devices like Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (CRO), Digital LCR-Q Meter, Decade resistance box, Voltmeters, Ammeters, Wattmeters, Multimeters etc., There are eight working tables with single phase supply and two separate three phase connections are available for conducting the three phase experiments.

Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab

Microprocessor lab helps the students to enhance their knowledge on architecture, programming and interfacing of various processors and microcontrollers. Students from other branch of engineering and sciences also utilize this lab and develop their skills in the field of microprocessor and its applications. The features and facilities available in this lab will help the students to do their projects and enhance their knowledge on the latest trends and technologies

Measurement and Instrumentation Lab

The Measurements Laboratory was established in the year 2012 which covers basic measurements like voltage, current, power and physical quantities and wide range of applications in measurements and transducers. This lab is one of the core laboratories which includes major equipment like 3-Phase Electronic Trivector Meter, Digital Spectrum Analyzer, 100 MHz Dual Trace Oscilloscope, Digital Real-time Storage Oscilloscope, Phantom loading, Bridge circuits etc. The students utilize the laboratory for designing Instrumentation systems and Electronic circuits related to their projects.

Electric Circuit Lab

The Electric Circuits laboratory was established during the year 2012-13.
